Welcome to the Appalachian Advisors Network

A project of 100 Days in Appalachia

Welcome to the Appalachian Advisors Network, a project of 100 Days in Appalachia. The AAN is a set of training resources, a freelance hiring database and a network of Appalachian Advisors that will all serve as a resource for national and international journalists who want to cover our region. Our goal is to challenge existing stereotypes in the media coverage of our region and foster a healthy, respectful relationship between those covering Appalachia and the Appalachian communities they intend to cover, in the 2020 election cycle and beyond.
